Escape to Nature with Free Transit Passes

Qualifying individuals can now request free transit passes to use for travel to and from Washington Park in Portland, Oregon.

Dedicated to connecting people with the culture, diversity, and wonder of nature, Washington Park is home to more than 15 miles of hiking trails, ten thousand roses, two thousand tree species, four hundred acres to explore—and so much more.

If you live on a low income, are dependent on public transportation due to lack of access to private cars, or identify as a member of another underserved community, you’re eligible to receive free TriMet passes to explore Washington Park.

How to Qualify

You can request TriMet passes either in person or online. To request in person, find us at an upcoming event in the Portland metro area, where we’ll be handing out passes along with Washington Park SWAG. To request online, just complete a simple form detailing your eligibility, and you should get your TriMet passes in the mail within 10 business days.

If you work for a local organization that wants to partner with us to distribute TriMet passes to your community, please send us a message.

How to Get TriMet Passes

“Love this place. I visited the Forestry Building, the Arboretum, the Rose Garden, the Japanese Garden, and diner inside the zoo entrance gates. And the MAX and park shuttle are the best and easiest ways to travel.”
